My way of working
I am a Trauma Informed integrative counsellor and use a relational framework as the basis of my integration. In plain speech this means I pay attention to, and focus on, the nature of connections both inside and outside of the therapy room.
When working with Trauma I use a three-phase trauma model. Trauma work can be more directive, and I will take an active role pacing sessions:
- Phase one focuses on stabilisation; building resources to support you both within sessions and outside
- Phase two is more exploratory; focused on processing and integrating experiences
- Phase three is future-focused; supporting you in finding the way forward that feels most authentic to you.

I offer three different types of sessions. There are advantages to each and what works best is highly individual. Where you are unsure, we can work together to determine the right choice for you.
